The truth is, there are TONS of ways of making a little money online. Some may apply to your situation, while others may not.
You may have closets of stuff that means little to you anymore, but would mean something to someone else. Rather than relying on ebay and messing with shipping charges, rather than wasting 20 hours on a weekend having a garage sale…find the right person and sell it locally on Craigslist.
Consider starting a blog in an area you know something about. And, in addition to Google AdSense, find some products related to your blog topic. Sometimes, it’s super easy to make a little money selling products and services or even just lead generation (signing up for a free mailing list) if you take the extra time to get those things installed on your blog or site. Other times, it takes a more focused effort. But you won’t really know until you try. If you’re looking for a great place to find products and services that you can sell on your site, check out the PepperjamNetwork.
Take your brick-and-mortar business (or your personal special talent…for example, if you’re the guy people always call when they’re having computer issues) and charge an hourly consulting fee. Using MSN Messenger, you can log into someone’s computer anywhere in the world….see their screen and run their computer from your computer. You can download software, type on screen, run troubleshooting utilities, etc. And you never have to leave home.
If you’re a writer, you can offer your services. Or a graphic designer. If you’re willing to go out and find sites willing to link to your client’s site, you’ll be in demand. There are so many things, and many of them require relatively little training or foreknowledge. Mostly just a desire to work, the ability to stay organized, and the willingness to communicate.
