Don’t Re-Gift: Make Extra Cash from Unwanted Christmas Gifts

We’ve all been there! You open the gift from your parents, spouse or friend only to find it’s an item you don’t want, can’t use or already have. Maybe you got a Wii game that you already own. Maybe you got a gift card to Macy’s when you only shop at Kohl’s. Or maybe you got a $100 silk tie or scarf that doesn’t match any of your outfits. Don’t regift those unwanted items. Use unwanted Christmas gifts to make a little cash. It’s easy!

Go to Ebay and/or Craig’s List and put your unwanted gift up for sale. Gifts cards usually sell for 10% under what they’re worth. Unused clothing usually goes for about 80% of it’s value and video games and small electronics usually fetch their value. Last year I got a Best Buy card from a family member. I could always use something from Best Buy, but frankly, I needed the cash more. So, I sold it on Ebay (in about 3 hours) for 90% of it’s value. Cold hard cash!!!

So turn Santa’s mistake into some green for yourself.

I’ll keep digging if you keep reading!
